What to Pack for SAPinsider 2020

It’s springtime in the desert during SAPinsider 2020! Most of us will likely be indoors during the day but the evenings are a different story. Be prepared for the temperature to dip in the low 50s. We recommend a coat if you get cold easily!

Since the conference itself is held inside the Bellagio Hotel, it’ll be easy to simply go up to your hotel room if you end up carrying too many things. However, maximize your time by traveling light during conference hours!

These are the things that you should at least have on you, other than comfortable professional clothing:

  • Business Cards – Make sure to have them ordered at least two weeks in advance to ensure that they arrive before your flight to the conference. We like to use Vistaprint for getting affordable business cards.
  • Portable Charger (fully charged) Reduce the stress of a dead phone when you’re at the conference navigating and connecting with others.
  • Business Padfolio - Take your notes and store away other business cards and documents in this easy-to-carry folder!

Note: Be sure to book your room at the Bellagio Hotel by February 21 to secure a discounted rate!

Dining & Fun Outside the Conference

The Bellagio Hotel has plenty of dining and entertainment options within its walls. You have the pick of fine restaurants from contemporary American cuisine at The Mayfair Supper Club to the exotic and authentic Hong Kong Cuisine at Jasmine. Feel free to also explore French, Japanese, and Italian dining with amazing views of the Bellagio Fountains.

Entertainment options at the hotel include Cirque de Soliel, the Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Garden, and the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art currently featuring Japanese art. Of course, the casino is available at your leisure. Are you feeling lucky?

If you want to stretch your legs and get some fresh air, of course, there are still plenty of dining and activity options outside the hotel. Enjoy Mexican food (and specialty whiskey) at La Monja in a vintage motel. On a more affordable side, you can experience an interesting airline theme restaurant called Flights where food is served in threes.

On the entertainment side, you can catch a few shows at The Smith Center, like a performance from Frankie Moreno or a National Geographic Live with Pulitzer-nominee photojournalist Jodi Cobb. There are many incredible magic and hilarious comedy shows to check out as well.
