# Your Personal Guide to ProMat 2023
Published by [Tarren Villaverde](https://blog.shiperp.com/author/tarren-villaverde) on Feb 23, 2023, 1:51:00 PM
Now's your chance to touch the future, as ProMat 2023 puts you up close and personal with the best solutions, innovations, and the innovators the industry has to offer. Whatever solution your business needs to succeed--from manufacturing innovation to inspiration for your supply chain--you'll find it at ProMat 2023!
## [](https://cta-redirect.hubspot.com/cta/redirect/5538017/415698ef-adc5-46f2-9bb0-0b67af74c301) ShipERP at ProMat 2023
ShipERP is dedicated to fostering digital supply chain transformations for companies, from privately held businesses to large, globally located enterprises. ShipERP's products provide sophisticated shipping management functionality to users of any ERP system, helping enterprises achieve more efficient shipping operations while reducing labor and freight costs. ShipERP Core and ShipERP Cloud are designed to fulfill business shipping requirements for parcel shipping.
Stop by Booth #S2598 to see firsthand the all-encompassing power ShipERP can inject into your business’s manufacturing or supply chain operation!
## What to Expect at ProMat 2023
To help you avoid the kind of paralysis that comes with trying to choose a handful of sessions from a list of 150 expert-led seminars (all conveying a broad array of supply chain, material handling, and logistics topics), we’ve narrowed down the topics by track (you can also view the [full schedule here](https://www.promatshow.com/education/seminars?ref=attendees)):
- Transportation, Distribution, and Warehousing
- Manufacturing, Planning, and Sourcing
- Data Capture, Analytics, and Information Management
- Automation & Robotics
- Sustainability and Risk Management
- Workforce and Labor
- Emerging Supply Chain Technology
## ProMat 2023 Networking Events
We understand that networking events aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, but these are the events we’d strongly urge you to consider attending (and rest assured our proposed alternatives won’t disappoint):
### Women in Supply Chain Forum (Monday, March 20 | 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM)
Aimed at elevating women in the supply chain industry, this event offers an afternoon of professional development and networking for ProMat attendees and exhibitors.
### MHI Young Professionals Networking Event (Monday, March 20 | 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM)
The Young Professionals Networking Event is your opportunity to network and connect with other young professionals in the materials handling and supply chain industry (wear your ProMat 2023 badge to enjoy complimentary entry).
### WERC Connects Panel Discussion: Growth Through Disruption (Tuesday, March 21 | 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM)
With seemingly ever-present threat of supply chain disruption looming, representatives from Penguin Random House, Finish Line, Mattel, and PFS present a timely panel discussion that aims to share their pandemic-driven experiences in building a resilient supply chain.
## What to do in Chicago after ProMat 2023
As promised, if you’re looking to escape the conference venue, here’s what those in the know suggest:
### The Art Institute of Chicago ($$)
Founded in 1879, the Art Institute of Chicago is one of the oldest, largest, and most popular art museums in the world, with approximately 1.5 million visitors annually. While general admission tickets are affordable, they are sparse.
### Cloud Gate at Millenium Park (Free)
Cloud Gate is the enormous mirrored “bean” sculpture by Indian-born British artist, Anish, Kapoor, that sits at the center of Millennium Park in Chicago. Both admission to the park and the sculpture itself are free to the public.
### VU Rooftop ($$$)
With an ingredient and beverage driven menu and 360-degree views of the lake and downtown, this 13,000 square foot concept (conveniently located next door to McCormick Place) boasts a truly breathtaking dining experience!
### Chinese American Museum of Chicago ($)
Weekday hours of admission are confusing and unlikely to work conveniently with your schedule, but the suggested donation amount for admission is only $8! However, Chinatown is less than a mile from McCormick Place; we suggest taking a stroll up Cermak—you’ll get a peak at Michigan Avenue’s Motor Row, Bertrand Goldberg’s Hilliard Towers, and the entrance of “old Chinatown” (the Chinese American Museum is a few blocks past).
### MHI Industry Night with Nate Bargatze (Free)
While MHI Industry Night at ProMat is dedicated to recognizing the 2023 MHI Innovation Award winners, Nate Bargatze, recognized as one of Esquire’s ‘Best New Comedians’ by Jim Gaffigan, will be serving up laughs as the evening’s featured entertainer!
