According to a report by The Information, Amazon will partner with five small trucking companies in different countries and train them to deliver goods for Amazon exclusively. Once again, Los Angeles and Long Beach's ports push consideration for fees on aging cargo back to December 27. In the effort to protect one of the country's vital infrastructures from hackers, the government will require rail carriers to report any cybersecurity breaches quickly. After the ransomware attack in May on Colonial Pipeline Co., these new directives will help keep rail transportation safe from security threats. The cybersecurity reporting requirement will be enacted on December 31, 2021.
